The “G” in GM Explorers stands for Gary, who began his journey in the cruise industry as a bedroom steward aboard the MV Island Princess in Alaska back in 1986. This formative experience not only laid the foundation for his career but also led him to his cherished home, Australia. Gary’s dedication to cruising and travel has been a driving force behind GM Explorers' success.

Joining Gary is Merv, the “M” in GM, who shares a profound passion for cruising. This shared enthusiasm fuels their commitment to discovering and providing exceptional travel opportunities. Together, Gary and Merv bring over 50 years of combined experience in the travel and aviation industries, ensuring that every client’s cruise dreams are realised with expertise and care.

Although we were guiding small groups around the globe long before our official establishment in 2015, it was then that we transformed our deep passion for cruising into a full-fledged profession.
